Junya Watanabe MAN made a bold statement with its Fall/Winter 2023 collection, showcased at Paris Fashion Week in January. The runway was ablaze with unexpected collaborations, showcasing the designer's penchant for pushing boundaries.
One of the standout partnerships was with renowned London-based skate brand Palace and athletic footwear giant New Balance. However, Junya Watanabe MAN didn't stop there. The latest collaboration to hit the shelves is the highly anticipated Junya Watanabe MAN x Oakley Factory Team Flesh Sandal, which has just unveiled its official imagery.
This daring collaboration merges the futuristic aesthetics of Oakley with Junya Watanabe MAN's avant-garde approach. The result is a low-cut sneaker exuding a captivating dark energy. The sneaker features synthetic suede uppers adorned with intricate wavy paneling and tonal stitching. Adding a technical touch, the shoe incorporates embroidered Oakley symbolism on its underlays.
For enhanced comfort, the sneaker boasts padded collars and rear pull tabs, ensuring a snug fit. The upper half is perched atop bulbous sole units, which showcase oval implants and a chunky finish, adding an element of boldness to the overall design.
Fashion enthusiasts eagerly await the release of the Junya Watanabe MAN x Oakley Factory Team Flesh Sandal, which will be available in black. The sneaker is set to hit select retailers, including the renowned Dover Street Market, in the upcoming weeks, priced at $280 USD.
