Parmigiani Fleurier Carillon Tourbillon Watch

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Parmigiani Fleurier  has unveiled the Carillon Tourbillon, a special watch limited to just five pieces. It honors the brand 's history of restoring old watches and is based on a 19th-century pocket watch the company repaired in 2000. Instead of copying the old design, they updated its sound mechanism for a modern wristwatch. The watch has a 41.6mm white gold case and a hand-hammered Morning Blue dial. To keep the front simple, the timekeeping parts are located on the back. The front instead highlights the four curved gongs and hammers that create the chime. Inside, the hand-wound movement has 456 parts. It uses two separate power sources, one that powers the watch for 10 days, and the other powers the chiming. This mechanism produces a steady sound for hours, quarter-hours, and minutes.
