Up There x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 "Natsukashii" Sneakers

To mark its 15th anniversary, Australian retailer Up There has teamed up with ASICS for their fourth collaboration. This time they are reimagining the GEL-KAYANO 12.1, transforming the technical runner into a clean, modern version that reflects Up There's distinctive style.

The sneaker is inspired by "Natsukashii", a Japanese term that describes the warm, fond feeling of nostalgia. This concept drives the design, with a color palette and materials inspired by ASICS' archival history and cultural memories.

The minimalist sneaker features a grey mesh base elegantly paired with reflective olive patent leather overlays. Collaborative details include a backwards "Up There" logo on the heel and green co-branded insoles. Bright red accents are incorporated on the tongue and outsole.

The Up There x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 12.1 "Natsukashii" sneaker will be available through a raffle system with winners drawn on October 9 via Up There, followed by a global release on October 11 for $300 AUD (approximately $200 USD).
