Seaggs Messenger Low Sneakers

Los Angeles-based clothing brand Seaggs is preparing to launch its first-ever sneaker, The Messenger Lows, on September 27th, exclusively through its online store. The limited-edition release will be restricted to only 600 pairs, with each pair priced at $168 USD.

The sneakers come in a "Slate" colorway and feature a religious-themed design, with crosses on either side of the shoe and an embossed cross on the soles.

The Messenger Lows are crafted using two different types of cracked elephant leather, smooth suede, rough Nubuck, and cordura mesh. The insoles are designed to resemble wood floors, while the outsole draws inspiration from cathedrals.

The shoe's designer, Seaggs, spent over a year sampling and perfecting the design, which included three gray samples for structure, and four colored samples over a year of back-and-forth sampling, with over $5,000 spent on sampling costs alone.
