Nothing Phone (2a) 'Special Edition' Smartphone

London, UK-based brand Nothing has announced a limited edition version of its Phone (2a) smartphone. The Phone (2a) 'Special Edition' features a contrasting silver and grey body with primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) throughout, giving it a Super Nintendo controller vibe. The colors are consistent with Nothing's past products, such as its right earbuds, latest Ear (a), and the regular Phone (2a). The use of color is intentional and aligns with Nothing's design language, which helps them stand out in the competitive smartphone market.

The Phone (2a) 'Special Edition' has the same internal specifications as the original Phone (2a) that was launched in March. It is powered by an 8-core Dimensity 7200 Pro chip and has 20 GB of RAM. The device also includes a 5,000 mAh battery, which is larger than the battery in Nothing's flagship device, Phone 2. It runs on Android 14 with Nothing's OS 2.5 and comes preinstalled with all 13 updates that have been rolled out to Phone (2a) users. The 'Special Edition' features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 1,300 nits. It has twin rear cameras with 50 MP sensors, optical image stabilization, and the ability to capture 4K video. The front camera can capture 1080p content at 60 FPS.

The Phone (2a) 'Special Edition' is available for purchase today via Nothing's website for £349 GBP / €379 EUR. There is also a limited number of phones launching at Nothing's Soho store in London on June 1. However, there is no news of a US launch at this time.
