Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 "Hot Lava" Sneakers

Tennis star Andre Agassi was known not only for his aggressive playstyle and eight major wins but also for his bold style choices, including his collaboration with Nike on sneakers like the legendary Air Tech Challenge 2. The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 is best known for its "Hot Lava" colorway from 1990.

While the sneaker has been reissued multiple times, Nike is now releasing an aged version of the "Hot Lava" colorway. The upper of the sneaker features a light off-white color instead of crisp white, and the midsole has been yellowed to give it a retro look. The signature bright pink Swooshes and splatter details on the sneaker have cracked finishes, and the black overlays feature tumbled leather.

The release date for the aged Air Tech Challenge 2 "Hot Lava" has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be available later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with a starting price of $150 USD.
