Nike and Jordan Brand have consistently celebrated Chinese New Year for over a decade, drawing inspiration from the Chinese zodiac each year. As the Year of the Dragon approaches in 2024, several pairs have already emerged, including the Air Jordan 1 Low OG and Air Jordan 38.
Adding to the lineup, the Air Force 1 Low now showcases its interpretation of the "Year of the Dragon" theme. The upper combines a light gray leather base with pastel pink suede overlays, creating a harmonious contrast. The Swooshes and heel tab adopt a similar gray shade, featuring a scale texture that ties the design to the dragon inspiration. Embracing the theme further, the shoe incorporates dragon-inspired details such as the "Just Do It" tongue tag, special sockliner graphics, lace lock, and heel tag. Completing the look, a clean white midsole is stitched to a semi-translucent pink-gum outsole.
While Nike and Jordan Brand have yet to provide official information about their upcoming Year of the Dragon celebration, it is expected that this Air Force 1 Low and its accompanying collection will be released in early 2024. Keep an eye out for their availability on Nike SNKRS and select retailers as the festivities commence.
