GALLERY DEPT. x Vans Authentic 44 Sneakers

GALLERY DEPT. is bringing its signature distressed aesthetic to Vans once again, this time with a fresh take on the OTW by Vans Authentic 44 sneaker. Dropping later this month, the new collaboration features an off-white canvas upper splattered with multicolor paint, reminiscent of the brand's hand-painted ASICS GT-2160.

The sneaker features red "Art That Kills" branding on the distressed midsole as a nod to founder Josué Thomas' creative agency. Black GALLERY DEPT. logos appear on the insoles, while a yellow GALLERY DEPT. tag accents the canvas upper. Each pair features hand-painted paint drips on the toe and grease marks that add character to the vamp and sidewalls. A blue foxing stripe completes the vintage-inspired look.

GALLERY DEPT. founder Josué Thomas shares, "The serial reproduction is a new approach for me, but at its core, it's still the same idea—art that moves, transforms, and when worn, becomes part of the wearer's story."

The GALLERY DEPT. x Vans Authentic 44 sneaker will be available starting March 27 via GALLERY DEPT.Vans, and select retailers for $150 USD.
