GALLERY DEPT. is bringing its signature distressed aesthetic to  Vans  once again, this time with a fresh take on the OTW by Vans Authentic 44 sneaker. Dropping later this month, the new collaboration features an off-white canvas upper splattered with multicolor paint, reminiscent of the brand's hand-painted ASICS GT-2160 . The sneaker features red " Art That Kills " branding on the distressed midsole as a nod to founder Josué Thomas ' creative agency. Black GALLERY DEPT. logos appear on the insoles, while a yellow GALLERY DEPT. tag accents the canvas upper. Each pair features hand-painted paint drips on the toe and grease marks that add character to the vamp and sidewalls. A blue foxing stripe completes the vintage-inspired look. GALLERY DEPT. founder Josué Thomas shares, "The serial reproduction is a new approach for me, but at its core, it's still the same idea—art that moves, transforms, and when worn, becomes part of the wearer's story." ...

Following the excitement generated by its friends and family variant revealed on Go Skateboarding Day back in June, the highly anticipated  Parra x OTW by Vans Half Cab sneaker is set to make its debut. While the initial leak featured a predominantly grey colorway, the upcoming general release has a vibrant palette doused in Parra's signature mix of oranges, greens, blues, reds, and pinks throughout the design. Artist  Piet Parra expressed his enthusiasm for the color choices, stating in a recent interview to Artist Close Up , "This is the palette that makes me happy," highlighting the joyful and poppy nature of the hues used. The sneaker also includes custom tongue and collar labels, rounded out by crisp eggshell midsoles and white laces. Retailer Sivasdescalzo has listed the release date for September 23, although this has yet to be officially confirmed by Parra or Vans.
