Contra Costa County, California rapper Matty Boy wasted no time when dropping the music video for his latest single, “Counter Fits”.
Directed by Noel Bell of Noble Cinema, the visuals were filmed at Noble Cinema Studios and in a cemetery. The video shows Matty Boy with his good friends Max Barela of Saved Thug Clothing, Manuel Cisneros, and Ron Bee from the Burbeck & Garretson podcast, as they count cash while model Nancy Marie Rodriguez dances provocatively.
On “Counter Fits”, Matty Boy raps about street life, violence, and emotional struggles, targeting fake rappers and gangsters over the hard-hitting Lootpecker-produced beat. As a homage to his roots, Matty Boy spells out FAIM—representing his former gang Family Affiliated Irish Mafia—in hundred-dollar bills laid across the ground. Enjoy!
