With temperatures cracking 90 degrees on the East Coast, the hazy vibes of a new Cigarettes After Sex song fit perfectly. The Greg Gonzalez-led band is known for its moody noir-rock. Their new single “Twizzler” premiered yesterday on L.A.'s KROQ. Gonzalez says the track dates back to their 2024 album X's, but they only just finished it. It's a bit more upbeat than usual, with a drumbeat that echoes Naughty By Nature's “Hip Hop Hooray”. Backed by a dark, groovy bassline, the lyrics recall a wild night at The Standard West Hollywood.
