Skate culture has seen a big comeback in recent years, with young people hitting parks and streets not just to skate, but to connect with others. Skating has always been about more than just the sport, it's tied to music, fashion, and self-expression.
At the center of this scene is Flipper's, the legendary skate brand relaunched in 2022 by Liberty Ross. Her father, Ian "Flipper" Ross, opened the original Flipper's rink in West Hollywood back in 1979. Over the years, it became a cultural hotspot, drawing stars like Prince, Usher, Dr. Dre, and Mary J. Blige, and inspiring collabs with brands like Brain Dead, adidas, and Hunza G.
Now, Flipper's is entering a new chapter with the launch of its first fashion line, the Flipper’s Fashion Collection.
The Fall/Winter 2025 unisex collection mixes classic skate style with modern streetwear. Key pieces include a fresh take on the MA-1 bomber, printed nylon jackets, and bold sherpa coats. Graphic tees and sweats feature vintage photos from Flipper's early days, while fun extras like tote bags, skate straps, band-aids, and stickers bring a touch of nostalgia.
The Flipper's Fashion Collection Fall/Winter 2025 offering is available now via Flipper's webstore and Dover Street Market Los Angeles.
