Just days after the surprise drop of his album GNX, Kendrick Lamar has unveiled the visuals for the second track, “squabble up”. The song features a bouncy beat produced by Jack Antonoff, Sounwave, Scott Bridgeway, and MTech that samples Debbie Deb.
The Calmatic-directed music video takes place in a mysterious green room adorned with a lone crystal chandelier. As the song plays, Kendrick performs at the center of a rotating backdrop filled with humorous vignettes, including mosh pits, street fights, exaggerated poses, and even a candle-lit vigil. Among the various props, a standout moment features Kendrick holding a book titled “How to Be More Like Kendrick for Dummies,” which hints at a playful jab at another rapper. Enjoy!
