In the early 2000s, Nike launched its CO.JP imprint, short for "Concept Japan", to cater to the burgeoning sneaker culture in Japan. This initiative allowed the brand to release exclusive sneakers that quickly became coveted among sneakerheads.
One of the standout releases from this line, the Nike Dunk Low "What The", originally debuted in 2017 and is set to make a comeback next week. The colorful sneaker features a color palette of orange, yellow, red, and blue, with Nike's signature rich color blocking that combines familiar colorways.
The reissue is part of Nike's broader strategy to revive classic CO.JP releases. Earlier this year, the brand restocked the Nike Dunk Low CO.JP "Ultraman", a nod to a beloved Japanese sci-fi character from 1999, and also reintroduced a two-toned black and red Dunk Low from the same year.
The Nike Dunk Low "What The" sneaker will be available starting October 19 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced at $125 USD.
