Founded by artist Joseph Bonfiglio in the early 1990s, Art Lighters began as a creative venture in the Bronx. A friend recognized the potential of Joseph Bonfiglio's hand-painted lighters and sold them in his corner store. This sparked a passion for creating unique, artistic lighters, each one a "one-of-a-kind" piece, much like a snowflake. Bonfiglio, affectionately known as "Boff," signed each lighter, making them not just functional items but also collectible art pieces. Customers often share their delight, saying, "I still have your lighter, and it still works!" The artistic coating ensures that these lighters last longer than standard ones.
