Offspring x adidas Response RS OZWEEGO "£1 Note" Sneakers

Early last year, UK retailer Offspring emerged victorious in the inaugural adidas Consortium Cup, a global sneaker design competition featuring 16 retailers. The tournament unfolded over four rounds, with public voting determining which designs advanced. In the final showdown, Offspring faced off against another British retailer, ultimately winning with their innovative designs.

Offspring's final creation, the "Offspring OFFS-weego," is a hybrid sneaker that combines elements from the adidas Response CL and Raf Simons' RS OZWEEGO. The unique model pays homage to Britain's discontinued £1 note, featuring a light-hued palette that reflects the internal walls of the Bank of England.

The design incorporates beige, brown, and grey tones, with mesh uppers that feature subtle OZWEEGO piping and grooved panels which enhances the overall brightness of the cream base. The sneaker features holographic Offspring logos and engraved serial numbers that mimic the design of banknotes, all resting atop three-dimensional two-toned outsoles.

The Offspring x adidas Response RS OZWEEGO "£1 Note" sneaker is set to drop on Saturday, August 3, both in-store and online via Offspring for £140 GBP (approximately $180 USD).
