Nike has unveiled the official imagery of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low "City of Cinema" sneakers following the reveal of a sample pair back in May. The sneakers draw inspiration from the grandiose theaters of Paris and feature a velvet-like base and overlays that pay homage to the historical significance of the structures.
Since the initial sample pair was spotted, there have been some changes to the design of the Nike SB Dunk Low "City of Cinema" sneakers. The underlays now carry a texture similar to the overlays, and the gold Swooshes have been replaced by black ones with white contrast stitching. The maroon laces now match the velvet collar, and the woven tongue tag has changed from maroon to dark brown. The sole unit has also undergone notable adjustments, with a switch from a translucent outsole to a brown one. The midsole now has a plain off-white finish instead of stained detailing and a yellow base. The thematic sockliner graphic has been updated as well.
The Nike SB Dunk Low "City of Cinema" sneaker will not be releasing around the Olympic Games as previously speculated. Instead, they are scheduled to drop on December 14 via Nike SNKRS and select skate shops for $125 USD.
