Wilson has announced the release of the Wilson "Airless Gen1," which is the first 3D-printed basketball available for purchase. This groundbreaking innovation is a direct descendant of the Airless Prototype and incorporates several enhancements aimed at improving performance and manufacturing efficiency.

The Airless Gen1 basketball boasts significant advancements, including an upgraded lattice design for more consistent bounce and performance. The streamlined manufacturing processes now include integrated holes, which enable speedier production and the introduction of customizable labels and color options.

The development of the Airless Gen1 basketball was made possible through collaboration between various partners, including the Wilson Labs team, General Lattice, DyeMansion, EOS, and SNL Creative. The limited edition Wilson Airless Gen1 basketball is expected to be available for purchase starting February 16 via Wilson's online store for $2,500 USD.
