Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air Max 1 Sneakers

Serena Williams Design Crew was founded three years ago as an incubator for emerging apparel and footwear designers. The Crew consists of ten designers working in partnership with Nike, specializing in areas such as graphic design, color design, and footwear materials.

For their latest project, Serena Williams Design Crew has reimagined the Nike Air Max 1. The shoe is designed to reflect Serena Williams' bold style and combines powerful silhouettes with feminine details. The pale pink shoe pays homage to her hometown city of Los Angeles, featuring a subtle white angel wings graphic alongside the toe. 

The upper features beige leather paneling alongside pink suede, with the Nike logo printed on the tongue in a darker shade of pink. The shoe is finished with a "W" on the back panel and rose gold adornments at the base of the laces and in the eyelets.

While an exact release date for the Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air Max 1 has not been revealed, the sneaker is expected to drop in 2024, along with other collection pieces from the Serena Williams Design Crew.
