The Nike Ja 1 "Murray State" sneaker pays tribute to Ja Morant's time at Murray State University, known for its renowned basketball program in Kentucky, where Morant developed his skills.

The Nike Ja 1 "Murray State" is designed in Murray State University's school colors, featuring a combination of midnight navy, light laser orange, and football grey hues. The shoe's base is constructed with navy mesh and leather, while light laser orange accents can be found on the Swoosh, Ja Morant emblem on the tongue and heel, and parts of the midsole. The football grey heel highlights the rubber outsole, which features the TMT branding, completing the design.
