adidas has indeed decided to sell its remaining YEEZY inventory, following the end of its relationship with Kanye West. The sportswear giant reported sales of €400 million from the shoes between April and June, after ending the collaboration with the rapper and fashion designer.
The demand for YEEZY shoes has remained strong, with the sneakers remaining popular in the resale market. The decision to sell the remaining YEEZY inventory was made after adidas cut ties with Ye due to his unacceptable comments and behavior. The company has pledged to donate some of the proceeds from the sales to charities combating hate and organizations representing people who have been hurt by Ye's remarks.
To kick off the plan to sell the remaining YEEZY inventory, adidas has introduced a new "Steel Grey" colorway for the YEEZY Boost 350 V2. This new colorway features a cool, monochromatic build with a light steel grey knit upper, a deeper grey rubber sole, and matching laces, insole, and heel tab.
The new YEEZY Boost 350 V2 "Steel Grey" sneaker will be available through the adidas Confirmed app for $230 USD, with interested parties able to enter the draw that opens on February 29 at 10 a.m. EST for 10 minutes.
