Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis has unveiled its latest masterpiece - a new iteration of its Knights of the Round Table watch. The new timepiece embraces a narrative of valor and craftsmanship, deeply rooted and inspired by the mythical Arthurian legend.

Embodying the philosophy of the Round Table, where equality and unity reigned supreme, the watch represents a collaborative effort. Designers, watchmakers, and artisans have seamlessly joined forces, each contributing their unique skills to bring this extraordinary creation to life.

At the core of the watch, twelve micro-engraved knights stand tall, each with its distinctive posture. These exquisitely crafted figures, measuring 6mm in height, are cast in 18K pink gold. The meticulous process involves 3D scanning, molding, and manual engraving, with each knight taking up to three days to perfect. This meticulous attention to detail showcases the patience and skill required to craft this exceptional timepiece.

The dial of the watch portrays a frozen Arthurian landscape, achieved using ice-blue glass crafted through the Murano method and Limoges biscuit porcelain. This combination creates a captivating contrast of matte and shiny surfaces, truly capturing the essence of a frosty adventure. Painstakingly assembled block by block, the dial becomes a three-dimensional puzzle, a testament to the craftsmanship of the skilled artisans at Roger Dubuis.

Crafted from Titanium Damascus, the 45mm case pays homage to ancient steel craftsmanship. The metal undergoes a rigorous process of layering, heating, hammering, and an acid bath, revealing a mesmerizing wave pattern that adds to its allure.

Powering this timepiece is the automatic Monobalancier RD821 calibre - an in-house movement composed of 172 parts that meets the stringent criteria of the Poinçon de Genève certification. The crown, reminiscent of a sword's guard, adds a touch of regality, while the strap features a Quick Release System for effortless customization.

Notably, each watch bears an inscription on the caseback, inspired by the words of the wise wizard Merlin. It reads, "Around this table, the bravest knights will gather as equals. They will set forth in search of adventure, righting wrongs, protecting the weak, and humbling the proud."

While pricing and availability have yet to be announced, Roger Dubuis assures that this limited edition timepiece, limited to just 28 examples, is a must-have for those in their close community who are on a quest for peerless design.
