JJJJound x adidas Samba "Off White" Sneakers

The highly anticipated collaboration between JJJJound and adidas for the Samba silhouette has been generating buzz since it was first leaked over a year ago. The initial leak showcased two styles: a classic Black/White/Gum version with a leather build and a Tan/Brown/Gum version with a shaggy suede build, both featuring custom heel branding. Now, images of a third colorway, "Off-White/Core Black/Gum," have surfaced, staying true to JJJJound's signature aesthetic of subtle refinement.

At first glance, this new colorway appears almost identical to the iconic white, black, and gum in-line Samba. It retains many of the original details, such as the gum midsole and outsole, grey suede toe cap, and black midfoot Three Stripe logo. However, there are notable differences, including a slightly eggshell-hued "Off White" tone replacing the white leather upper and the gold foil adidas branding on the lateral midfoot being replaced with "JJJJound" branding. Additionally, an earthy gold tone accents the leather collar lining, and a co-branded stamp can be seen on the inner medial portion.

According to reports, this collaboration is set to release in March 2024, likely aiming to extend the popularity of the Samba silhouette. The expected retail price is $200 USD, which is significantly higher than the usual $100 USD price tag of in-line Sambas. However, considering JJJJound's tendency not to significantly inflate the MSRPs of their collaborations, it is possible that the retail price may be adjusted to fall within the $120-$150 USD range closer to the release date.
