COSTS x ASICS GT-2160 "SHAO JI" Sneakers

ASICS and COSTS, the Shenzhen-based fashion label and retailer, have collaborated once again to release the GT-2160 "SHAO JI" sneaker. This sporty silhouette features an understated Oatmeal colorway with various co-branded elements.

Unlike their previous collaboration, which had an outdoor-inspired design, the GT-2160 "SHAO JI" embraces a more urban-ready style. The upper of the shoe is made from breathable mesh, inspired by the traditional Chinese weaving technique known as "SHAO JI." The Oatmeal colorway is complemented by touches of Indigo Blue throughout the shoe. One of the standout features is the embroidery of "SHAO JI" and its Chinese expression "筲箕" on the main eyelet stays at the center of the tongue.

The Indigo Blue color is not only found on various parts of the upper, such as the iconic ASICS stripes, but also on the outsole, creating a pop of color against a partially white outsole. The shoe also features co-branding on two pairs of laces, the tongue, heel, and insoles, which showcase various inspired prints.

The COSTS x ASICS GT-2160 "SHAO JI" is currently available for purchase on COSTS' webstore, with a few remaining sizes. It is also available via ASICS' website, priced at $140 USD.
