Matthew M. Williams, the renowned creative director and co-founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM, as well as the creative force behind Givenchy, has recently unveiled a sneak peek of an upcoming collaboration with Nike. The collaboration centers around the iconic Air Force 1 Low silhouette, serving as the foundation for the innovative design.

Following the success of the Air Force 1 High, which made its debut in 2018 and hit the market in 2020, this latest collaboration takes a more understated approach. Unlike its predecessor, which featured the brand's renowned roller coaster buckle, the Air Force 1 Low presents a more minimalist aesthetic, with its current form showcasing minimal hardware, save for a co-branded deubré.

Co-branding elements, expected to be printed, etched, or stitched, grace the lower portion of the heel, the lateral side of the shoe, the tongue label, and the insoles. While the initial black and white drawings offer little detail regarding texture or materials, the distinction between the ALYX edition and Nike's regular AF1 seems subtle at first glance.

In recent updates, Matthew Williams treated his Instagram followers to a series of images showcasing the highly anticipated 1017 ALYX 9SM x Nike Air Force 1 Low. These black and white colorways perfectly align with the minimalist design blueprint that was initially teased. The deubré proudly displays a customized ALYX x Nike co-branded design, while subtle ALYX logos are meticulously etched and engraved throughout the sneakers.
