Ressence, the renowned Belgium-designed, Swiss-made watch brand, has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the TYPE 1 DX3, in collaboration with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. This remarkable timepiece represents the culmination of a six-year partnership between the luxury retail group and the independent watchmaker, showcasing a fusion of Arabic mosaics and the artistry of cloisonné watchmaking.

The TYPE 1 DX3 is the final chapter in a trilogy that celebrates the elegance of Arab Geometric Art through its unique design. Continuing the legacy of its predecessors, this limited-edition model features a dial adorned with a captivating graphical pattern inspired by Arab Geometric Art. The warm rose gold color palette evokes the desert's hues, beautifully blending different cultures and trades into a harmonious whole.

Benoît Mintiens, the Founder of Ressence, expressed his pride and gratitude for this ambitious collaboration, stating, "This trilogy demonstrates that, at first sight, different cultures and trades share a common and universal understanding of aesthetic balance. The appreciation of rhythms, patterns, or color is a collective good beyond our origins."

The DX3's dial showcases a sophisticated arrangement of colors, with darker shades radiating from the central sub-dials. In low light, the cloisonné design on the dial reveals its true elegance, emitting a gentle green glow thanks to the grade-A Super-LumiNova paint that adorns the hour markers.

The TYPE 1 DX3 is based on the T1° Round, the latest iteration of the iconic TYPE 1 series. Its pebble-like case not only offers a visually pleasing appearance but also provides a tactile experience with its smooth texture. To complement the launch of the DX3, Ressence introduces its first book, "Arts & Crafts in Motion," limited to only 200 copies. This publication delves into the captivating synthesis of Arab Geometric Art and Horological Decorative Art within the DX trilogy.

For those lucky enough to experience the TYPE 1° DX3, the timepiece was showcased last week at the prestigious Dubai Watch Week. With just 35 examples available, this collaborative masterpiece between Ressence and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons can be purchased through inquiry for 23,600 CHF or $26,568 USD.
