HOKA has unveiled its latest trail-running model, the Mafate THREE2, in a standout colorway called "Hot Sauce/Earthenware". Drawing inspiration from its archival designs, HOKA has combined elements from the Mafate Speed 2 to create a well-cushioned and balanced shoe weighing approximately 328 grams. The Mafate THREE2 features a 3mm heel-to-toe drop, ensuring stability during wear.
In terms of functionality, the shoe is equipped with a convenient quick lace system, a compression-molded EVA midsole for added comfort, and a Vibram megragrip outsole for enhanced traction on various terrains.
The Mafate THREE2's upper design is borrowed from the original Mafate 3, constructed with breathable mesh material and hotmelt overlays in a tonal color palette. By combining features from two of HOKA's iconic designs, the Mafate THREE2 has a retro aesthetic while maintaining a modern build that is tailored for trail running.
The "Hot Sauce/Earthenware" colorway has proven popular, with many sizes quickly selling out. However, limited stocks of the shoe are still available in select sizes in the "Limestone/Outer Space" and "Eggnog/Shifting Sand" colorways. Priced at £170 GBP (approximately $206 USD), the Mafate THREE2 can be purchased from HOKA's UK website.
