Austin Reaves, an NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Rigorer, a leading Chinese sportswear brand, have collaborated to release a new colorway of the Rigorer AR1 sneaker called "Showtime”. This release coincides with Austin Reaves signing a four-year max contract with the Lakers. The AR1 "Showtime" is priced at $100 USD and pays tribute to the Lakers' "Showtime" legacy, reflecting the team's past successes and Austin's goal of bringing the championship trophy back to Los Angeles.
The Rigorer AR1 "Showtime" features woven cocoon uppers, TPU panels, a bubble lacing system, Showtime Foam Tech midsoles encapsulated in EVA foam, anti-torsion TPU plates, and anti-slip rubber outsoles. These design elements contribute to the shoe's performance and style.
Austin Reaves expressed his excitement about the release of the Rigorer AR1 "Showtime" and his journey with the Lakers. He mentioned that this summer has been surreal for him, from signing a long-term contract with the Lakers to playing in the FIBA World Cup and seeing his shoes sell out quickly. Reaves emphasized that his focus is now solely on the Lakers and his goal of bringing the championship trophy back to Los Angeles. He sees the Rigorer AR1 "Showtime" as a reflection of that goal and his journey with the organization.
KICKS CREW, a global launch partner, collaborated with Rigorer to release the Rigorer AR1 "Showtime", both online and alongside Rigorer. This partnership aims to make the shoe accessible to fans worldwide.
