Air Jordan 3 Doernbecher "Hugo" Sneakers

Jordan Brand and Nike have recently unveiled the highly anticipated Doernbecher Freestyle XIX collection, featuring six distinct shoe designs created by child patients from OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Among these remarkable creations, the Air Jordan 3 takes center stage with a new iteration just in time for the holiday season.

Designed by Hugo "Juice" Covarrubias Molina, the Air Jordan 3 "Hugo" draws inspiration from the vibrant team colors of the Seattle Seahawks, incorporating navy blue and slime green accents. Paying homage to the designer's nickname, the slime green descends on the ankle, adding a personal touch. The hang-tag, plated with 24-carat gold, reflects Juice's affinity for jewelry. Furthermore, the outsole of the shoe carries a powerful message, stating "It's okay to be different," serving as a source of inspiration for Juice, who bravely faces Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. The navy leather upper is elegantly complemented by slime green accents on the tongues, mudguard, and semi-translucent outsole, while the iconic elephant print adorns the toe and heel guard.

The Air Jordan 3 Doernbecher "Hugo" is set to release on December 2nd at select retailers and online on Nike's website, with a retail price of $210 USD.
