London Yakuza "Lucky Me" Hoodie

London Yakuza, a rising premium streetwear brand based in the UK, is gearing up to release their latest creation, the "Lucky Me" zip-up hoodie. This remarkable piece comes in a sleek gray colorway, adorned with a captivating clover design on the front and arms.

The inspiration behind the "Lucky Me" hoodie stems from the brand's name itself. In Japanese, "Yakuza" is not only the name of the organized crime group but also the pronunciation for 893, which interestingly represents the losing hand in the game of oicho-kabu - a game solely reliant on luck. Drawing from this cultural reference, London Yakuza cleverly incorporates the luck symbol of a four-leaf clover, known for its significance in Japanese culture, as well as its original association with the club suit in card games, originally known as the clover.

Delving deeper into the concept of "Lucky Me," the designer found inspiration in the iconic Marvel Comics character, Domino, who famously exclaimed, "Lucky Me." This resonated profoundly with the designer, leading to the incorporation of this powerful phrase. The connection between "Lucky Me" and London Yakuza's brand slogan, "Another Underdog Story," further adds depth and meaning to this unique release.

Be sure to mark your calendars for October 29th when the exclusive drop of the "Lucky Me" hoodie will be available through London Yakuza's online store for £60 GBP (approximately $75 USD).
