Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Aromas

Clase Azul México, renowned for its luxurious spirits and commitment to hospitality, has introduced the Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Aromas. This release is part of their annual Nuestros Recuerdos series, which began in 2021 and pays homage to Día de Muertos, the Day of the Dead celebration. The Aromas edition, limited to 3,500 decanters, captures the scents associated with this festive occasion, particularly the sweet fragrance of the cempasúchil flower. It is currently available at Clase Azul Boutique La Terraza and Clase Azul Boutique Los Cabos Airport in San José del Cabo.

The Nuestros Recuerdos series previously featured the Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Sabores in 2021 and the Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Colores in 2022, which celebrated the flavors and colors of Día de Muertos, respectively. This holiday reflects Mexico's rich cultural traditions, and Clase Azul México aims to share these elements through their limited edition releases.

Día de Muertos is known for its distinctive aromas, with ofrendas (altars) adorned with incense, traditional dishes, and vibrant cempasúchil flowers, filling the air with their fragrances. The limited edition añejo tequila is aged for 25 months and features notes of peach, pear, raisin, candied walnut, toasted wood, and clove. Tasting notes include peach, walnut, clove, and cacao, with a finish of cacao and cinnamon.

The exquisite decanter showcases the cempasúchil blossom with a marigold glaze that darkens towards the base. On the back of the decanter, there is an illustration by Mexican artist Jimena Estíbaliz depicting a dreamlike scene of cempasúchil flower harvesting, accompanied by xoloitzcuintles (Mexican hairless dogs). The decanter is adorned with a handcrafted 24-karat gold ornament featuring a fine patina finish.

Additionally, guests at Clase Azul La Terraza Los Cabos can indulge in a five-course pairing menu designed by Creative Chef Iván Arias. The menu includes a two-ounce pour of the limited edition tequila and costs $250 USD per person. The Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Aromas is available in a 1-liter decanter at 40% ABV (80 proof) for $1,450 USD.
