Ahluwalia "Glenfiddich Rare Measures" Bomber Jacket

London-based menswear label Ahluwalia is paying tribute to the local bartending community through an exciting collaboration called "Glenfiddich Rare Measures by Ahluwalia." Joining forces with the family-owned scotch distillery Glenfiddich, the brand has designed a lightweight bomber jacket that combines comfort and sophistication.

Designer Priya Ahluwalia has created a gender-neutral jacket that seamlessly blends contemporary influences with a classic silhouette. As with all of Ahluwalia's releases, the piece is crafted entirely from vintage and upcycled materials. The jacket showcases satin panels on the front and back, adorned with a unique wave pattern inspired by Ahluwalia's aesthetic, along with a map of Glenfiddich's distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. The bright orange, green, brown, and blue palette of the satin beautifully contrasts with the dark navy merino lambswool base of the jacket.

During the creative process, Ahluwalia had the opportunity to immerse herself in the history and spirit of Glenfiddich during her visit to the distillery. "I wanted to create something that stayed true to the Ahluwalia world aesthetic, while incorporating Glenfiddich's rich history and, most importantly, celebrating its commitment to innovation and forward-thinking," she explained. By using the original distillery map as the centerpiece of the jacket's design and combining traditional and contemporary materials, Ahluwalia successfully reflects the brand's modern values.

Only 150 of these exclusive jackets have been produced and will be gifted to bartenders across the UK as a heartfelt token of recognition for their exceptional work. Additionally, a limited number of just five jackets will be made available through a lottery ballot on the Glenfiddich website, providing a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to own a piece of this remarkable collaboration.
