Eminem - "Houdini" Music Video

Eminem is back with a new song called “Houdini,” which takes us on a nostalgic trip to his early 2000s era. The track serves as the first offering from his upcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and pays homage to his heyday.

The song kicks off with the refrain from “Without Me,” but it's the accompanying music video, directed by Rich Lee, that truly captures Eminem's legacy. The video starts with Eminem entering a portal and emerging as his younger, blond-haired self. With a comic strip-inspired aesthetic reminiscent of his 2002 hit, the video even features Eminem wearing the same Robin costume from the “Without Me” visual. It also references the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards with its influx of "wannabee" Slim Shady's.

But the video isn't just about the faux-Slim Shady's. It's filled with star-studded cameos, starting with Eminem's longtime tour manager, Paul Rosenberg. Paul opens the track with the words, "Hey, Em, it's Paul. Uh, I was listening to the album. Good f*cking luck, you're on your own," before the famous “Without Me” refrain kicks in. As the video progresses, we see appearances from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Shane Gillis, 50 Cent, the Alchemist, and even Pete Davidson.

Lyrically, Eminem also references Megan Thee Stallion, wondering if he has a shot at collaborating with her. He ponders, "If I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with me, would I really have a shot at a feat?"
