Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Millennium Sneakers

The partnership between Grace Wales Bonner and adidas continues to evolve. In January, they unveiled their first collaboration of the year during Wales Bonner's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show. The collection featured a crocodile-embossed Superstar shoe and nylon jerseys adorned with the adidas Trefoil logo.

Now, ahead of the release of their new collection, the first images of another sneaker collaboration have surfaced. For the upcoming Spring/Summer 2024 season, Wales Bonner has reimagined the classic adidas Samba Millennium sneaker.

The adidas Samba Millennium made its debut in the early 2000s, and Wales Bonner has breathed new life into the iconic silhouette. In her version, the Three Stripes are subtly incorporated into the beige monochromatic leather upper. The back end of the shoe features a darker camel shade which provides a subtle contrast and creates a smoother look compared to the lines on the front of the shoe.

Currently, only photos of the Samba Millennium have been released, though Wales Bonner has also designed two new editions of the SL72. The Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Millennium sneaker is set to drop on May 20 via Wales Bonner's online store and select retailers for $250 USD.
