In the music video for her first official single, “Gimmie A Light,” from her upcoming debut album Y2K, Ice Spice is seen rapping from the comfort of a pink Range Rover. The car, which is billowing smoke, is the exact same car that was once owned by Cam'ron.
The video, directed by Evil Twins, features the pink Range Rover prominently and includes a custom tag highlighting Ice Spice's debut album.
While press notes for the video did not mention Cam'ron or his Range Rover, a source close to the production confirmed that the car used in the video is indeed the same vehicle once owned by Cam'ron.
Cam'ron's pink Range Rover, which was widely reported to be the one seen in his music videos for “Get Em Girls” and “Killa Cam,” was put up for sale on Facebook Marketplace in December of last year.
Although Cam'ron didn't own the car for very long, he mentioned in a 2004 interview with MTV that driving it around became a "headache" for him due to its instant recognizability.
The use of the pink Range Rover in Ice Spice's video is a nod to the Y2K aesthetic, which has seen a resurgence in recent years. Ice Spice credited her mother's embodiment of the Y2K aesthetic as inspiration for the title of her debut album.
