Happy99 x Reebok Instapump Fury 95 Sneakers

In 2018, designers Nathalie Nguyen and Dominic Lopez shared a virtual sneaker concept called "Happy99" on Instagram. The concept gained significant interest, leading to the realization of their vision in the apparel and footwear industry. Happy99 has now collaborated with Reebok to reimagine the iconic Instapump Fury 95 sneaker.

The collaboration between Happy99 and Reebok brings forth two colorways of "Purple/Midnight/Earth" and "Boulder Grey/Mint." These designs draw inspiration from '90s video games and anime, incorporating a mix of fabrics and bold color pops. The sneakers feature standout elements such as a translucent Pump button and bladder, a combination of Cordura, suede, and synthetic materials for the upper, a graphic nylon and ripstop gaiter, a custom graphic sockliner, an OG Fury carbon footplate, and diverse branding.

The Happy99 x Reebok Instapump Fury 95 showcases the sharpness of the silhouette combined with the bubbly facade of the Pump bladder, creating an intriguing juxtaposition. The option to cover the sneakers with the gaiter adds height and an additional layer of texture to the design. The collaboration reflects Happy99's love for doll culture, as they often create miniature clothes and shoes for dolls to use in promotional shoots. For this project, they even 3D printed a life-sized doll to capture images in their neighborhood of Chinatown, NYC.

The Happy99 x Reebok Instapump Fury 95 is priced at $250 USD and is currently available exclusively from Happy99. A wider global release through Reebok and select retailers is scheduled for December 22.
