Casio has recently unveiled a new addition to its G-Shock lineup, the MRG-B2000SG. This limited edition watch draws inspiration from the strength and elegance of a samurai's armor, embodying Casio's commitment to creating the ultimate in tough timepieces. The release of this watch also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the G-Shock brand, making it a special tribute to both modern technology and centuries of samurai heritage.

The design of the MRG-B2000SG takes inspiration from the Shougeki-Maru: Gai kabuto helmet. The bezel of the watch features an intricately engraved tiger, symbolizing strength and power. Renowned metalsmith Kobayashi Masao has employed his chiseling technique to create a unique rock-grain relief pattern on the tiger stripes, each with its own distinct size and shape.

The white band of the watch is reminiscent of the white ito odoshi, a binding technique used in samurai armor. It not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also represents the unwavering determination of a samurai. Made from fluor rubber, the band offers flexibility, durability, and stain resistance.

The case of the MRG-B2000SG is crafted from titanium and ion-plated in a dark silver hue. It undergoes a deep-layer hardening process, enhancing its hardness and revealing a crystalline pattern that gives the watch a rugged appearance reminiscent of the color of the helmet. A metal plate on the side commemorates the 40th anniversary of G-Shock, and screw heads set with rubies add a touch of flair to the watch.

As of now, the pricing for the MRG-B2000SG has not been disclosed by Casio. However, interested collectors can find more information about the watch or locate a store through Casio's website.
