Motorola Bendable Slap Bracelet Smartphone

Motorola is embracing a nostalgic trend from the early 1990s with its latest technological innovation. Recently unveiled at Lenovo Tech World 2023, the company showcased a smartphone designed in the style of a slap bracelet.

This unique device demonstrates Motorola's continued exploration of rollable and flexible display technology. The smartphone features an FHD+ pOLED display, similar to previous models used in Motorola's phones and PCs.

The smartphone can be used in multiple configurations. It can be rolled out as a standard, flat model, or bent into various stand modes. Additionally, it can be wrapped around one's wrist like a bracelet. In its standard setting, the phone measures 6.9 inches (175 mm) and offers a full Android experience.

While it's unclear if all features are accessible when the phone is wrapped around the wrist, Motorola describes the technology as "adaptive" and utilizes AI to adjust the display based on its position. When in a wrapped standing position, the screen shrinks to a smaller 4.6-inch (117 mm) display.

Motorola claims that when fully wrapped around the wrist, the phone's display resembles that of its square-shaped smartphone, the Motorola Razr+.

Although this smartphone in the form of a slap bracelet is an intriguing sight and showcases impressive technology, it is unlikely that Motorola has immediate plans to release it to the general public. Further details regarding its availability and launch are yet to be announced.
