Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon Watch

Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has unveiled a truly extraordinary timepiece in honor of the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations. In collaboration with contemporary Chinese artist Chen Fenwan, the brand has created a unique Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon watch, inspired by the Year of the Wood Dragon.

Maintaining the classic dimensions of the Spirit of Big Bang collection, measuring 42mm in diameter and 13.8mm in thickness, this timepiece stands out with its mesmerizing dragon design. Chen Fenwan, known for his paper art aesthetic, has reimagined the mythical creature in his own distinctive style. The dragon, presented in shades of fuchsia, white, gray, and indigo, is composed of five intricate layers, resulting in a visually stunning and multi-dimensional effect. The dial features Hublot's logo and a set of skeleton hands, with all hour markings deliberately omitted to emphasize the dragon's presence.

Underneath its elaborate exterior, the Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Dragon watch remains a robust timepiece capable of withstanding pressures up to 10 ATM underwater. It is powered by Hublot's own HUB1710 self-winding caliber, ensuring a continuous running time of up to 50 hours. The watch is accompanied by a rubber strap adorned with a dragon-scale pattern, evoking the mythical creature's essence. A plain gray fabric strap is also available for a more understated look.

Limited to only 88 examples, a number that represents fortune and prosperity in Chinese culture, this limited edition watch is priced at $29,500 USD via Hublot.
