MINI x Angell Mobility MINI E-Bike 1

MINI, the British carmaker known for its electric vehicles, has partnered with French e-bike manufacturer Angell Mobility to create the limited-edition MINI E-Bike 1. This electric bicycle, available in two models and two color schemes, signifies the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two brands.

Limited to just 1,959 pieces as a tribute to the year MINI was founded, the MINI E-Bike 1 expands MINI's portfolio into the realm of electric bikes. Angell Mobility, which recently changed its name to encompass its broader vision of impacting transportation, brings its expertise in e-bike manufacturing to the partnership.

The MINI E-Bike 1 is offered in two configurations: the "M" model with an angled top tube for taller riders, and the "S" model with a step-through frame for smaller riders or those wearing longer-form clothing. Both models are available in Ocean Wave Green and Vibrant Silver, matching MINI's color schemes for 2024. Hand-built in France using lightweight aluminum, these e-bikes weigh under 38 pounds (including the removable battery), making them remarkably light by e-bike standards while maintaining durability and quality.

Designed to facilitate urban travel, the MINI E-Bike 1 features an integrated digital cockpit at the center of the handlebars. This display provides riders with essential information such as speed and distance, along with a proprietary navigation system accessible through a mobile application. Users can log trips, customize riding preferences, and choose destinations. The bike also incorporates a GPS system used by BMW cars, enabling users to track and locate their bike if it gets stolen.

Pre-orders for the MINI E-Bike 1 are now open on both MINI's and Angell's websites, priced at €3,490 EUR (approximately $3,735 USD). The e-bike will be available through selected bicycle retailers and MINI dealerships across Europe. However, there is no information yet regarding a release in the United States and Canada.
