Vans x HIROTTON Capsule Collection

Vans is set to release its latest collaboration with Japanese artist Hiroyuki Uemura, also known as HIROTTON. The collection includes four apparel items and two classic Vans shoe silhouettes, the Sk8-Hi and the Authentic. Each item incorporates HIROTTON's signature illustrative motifs, blending influences from 19th-century Japanese woodblock triptychs and punk rock graphics.

The Sk8-Hi features a skeleton performing a nosegrind on a floating "VANS" block logo against the backdrop of Japan's tallest peak, Mt. Fuji. The Authentic showcases HIROTTON's iconic skull design with a snake coiled on its head, framed by embroidered lightning bolts reminiscent of late '80s or early '90s rock style.

The collection also includes a reversible MA-1 jacket, a vest, and two logo tees, all featuring the artist's work. The prices range from $31 USD for the tees to $183 USD for the jacket, based on current JPY to USD conversions.

HIROTTON expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that creating a Vans collaboration model has always been one of his goals. Having been a fan of Vans since his teenage years, he made sure to put a lot of effort into designing a collection that would reflect his artwork's style and color scheme.

The collaborative collection will be released exclusively at the Vans Store Harajuku in Tokyo on September 16. The release will coincide with the store's 3rd-anniversary celebration, which will feature a party and the distribution of special commemorative stickers to guests while supplies last.
