Richard 'Ipy' Siegrist , Oris' Product Development Engineer, explains the process, stating, "The watch's titanium dial is transformed through laser treatment, altering the reflection of light waves to create a specific spectrum of visible light that gives an impression of color." Encased in a 39mm multi-piece titanium case, the timepiece features a domed sapphire crystal on both the front and back, providing a clear view of the remarkable Oris Calibre 400 movement. Swiss watchmaker Oris has released a new version of its popular Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph watch. The updated model features a smaller 40mm case and a monochromatic dial design. It is available with either a black deer leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. Inspired by Oris' first diver's watch from 1965, the design incorporates sweeping lugs, a uni-directional rotating bezel, and vintage chronograph pushers. Powered by the automatic mechanical movement Oris 771, the watch has a 48-hour power reserve. The black curved dial includes Super-LumiNova treated indices for low-light visibility. Additional features include a domed sapphire glass, a stainless steel case back, and a screw-in security crown and pushers. The Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph is available for purchase on Oris' official website and at select retailers, with prices starting at $4,200 USD for the leather strap version and $4,400 USD for the metal bracelet version.
