Hublot and Takashi Murakami have strengthened their collaboration with the limited release of the MP-15 Tourbillon Sapphire Rainbow watch. The timepiece is shaped like Takashi Murakami's signature flower motif and is crafted from polished sapphire crystal that allows for a clear view of its intricate mechanics. Measuring 42mm in diameter, the watch features petals adorned with 444 gemstones, each featuring a different color that corresponds to its hour marker. Unlike the previous Only Watch edition, which displayed a rainbow gradient across all petals, this new version highlights individual colors for each petal. The centerpiece of the dial features Murakami's iconic smiley face, laser-engraved onto the domed sapphire crystal, beneath which lies the HUB9015 manual-winding tourbillon. Reservoir and TÉLÔS have teamed up to create a unique timepiece for the Only Watch auction. The watch draws inspiration from nautical measuring instruments and features a white enamel Grand Feu dial on the top half, with a 42mm bronze case resembling a depth gauge. The rest of the dial is anthracite gray, bead-blasted, and NAC-finished. This collaboration also marks Reservoir's first in-house tourbillon, providing up to 60 hours of running time. The watch includes retrograde minutes, jumping hours, and a regulator-style display, with the oscillating weight visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. It comes with a blue alligator strap and a stainless steel and bronze butterfly deployment clasp. The Reservoir x TÉLÔS Tiefenmesser Tourbillon will be auctioned at the Only Watch event on November 5, 2023, with an estimated sale price of 50,000 – 60,000 CHF ($55,796 – $66,956 USD).
