Air Jordan 1 "Wings" Collection Preview

Jordan Brand is set to release its most premium iterations of the Air Jordan 1 yet in 2024, known as the Air Jordan 1 "Wings" collection. The sneakers feature a fully made-in-Italy leather build and are priced at $975 USD for the Air Jordan 1 High and $875 USD for the Air Jordan 1 Low.

The Air Jordan 1 "Wings" collection was initially rumored to have an MSRP between $1,300 USD and $1,500 USD, but recent reports have shown their price to be somewhat lower, though still substantial. The collection includes three styles, all-white high tops and low tops with raw edges that show off their premium leather construction, as well as a low-top pair equipped with a "French Blue" Swoosh and regular edging.

The "Wings" sneakers feature a special ball-and-wings tongue tag with a "Made in Italy" hit, which is a nod to their construction and potentially to the Air Jordan 2, which prominently featured the ball-and-wings logo on its tongue and was initially produced in Italy in 1986.

While the rumored remaining colors of the "Wings" collection have not been revealed, it’s worth noting that the market's reaction to high-priced sneakers has varied in the past. Jordan Brand has had success with high-priced collaborations like the Don C x Air Jordan 2 collaborations and the Dior x Air Jordan 1 collection, while the Air Jordan Shine, priced at $400 USD, was not as well-received.
