99GINGER x New Balance 1906R Sneakers

Parisian collective 99GINGER has partnered with New Balance to create a unique iteration of the New Balance 1906R sneaker. Known for their Paris party series that has evolved into a creative incubator, record label, consultancy services, and editorial arm, 99GINGER previously collaborated with New Balance on a party during Paris Fashion Week in January 2023. Now, they have unveiled their first footwear effort, taking their brand relationship and prestige to a new level.

The 99GINGER x New Balance 1906R is a friends-and-family-only style that showcases a luxurious croc composition. The retro runner-turned-lifestyle silhouette features a green croc upper, reminiscent of Mauri-style luxury, with stitched detailing in place of the regular panels found on a standard pair. Glossy black toe caps and heel cages add a touch of sophistication, while black tongues, midsoles, and outsoles complete the overall look.

The New Balance 1906R has seen collaborations with notable brands such as COMME des GARÇONS HOMME, AURALEE, and GANNI. Additionally, individuals like Salehe Bembury and Action Bronson have their own upcoming iterations of the shoe. However, what sets the 99GINGER collaboration apart is its departure from the shoe's technical specifications and vibrant color schemes. While this particular 99GINGER x New Balance 1906R sneaker will not be available to the general public, a more widely accessible iteration is expected to release sometime in 2024.
