For its fresh take on the Air Jordan 1 , Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Subway" sneaker as part of Jordan Brand's Wings initiative. The design of the shoe was led by 138 local New York City students who collaborated with the Jordan team. The sneaker pays tribute to the MTA workers who keep New York City running smoothly. The Air Jordan 1 Mid "Subway" features a two-toned gray silhouette adorned with the city's subway lines throughout. The sneaker is entirely waterproof and includes a reflective Swoosh in the middle while the sock lining and outsole have a speckled design, reminiscent of the floor of subway stations. The tongue of the sneaker reads "Thank You For All You Do," the toe has the phrase "Always Go Forward," and the quarter says "Do Not Lean On The Doors".
